Not sure how I forgot to add this photo.... I LOVE to read!  So as long as I have my shades like mom and dad then I am all set to read in the car too!

Thanksgiving

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  I know it was a couple of weeks ago, but how can you not just love a holiday that has wonderful food and family!  Plus, I got to actually eat the food this year (way better than just watching).

Momma, Daddy and I drove out to Henderson, NV to visit Boppa and Di Di.  It was quite the adventure. But you know me, I am up for anything!  We were supposed to get there on Sunday night, but the car started doing funny things and Momma and Daddy seemed concerned, so we pulled off the road (at the only exit within a 100 mile span).... one of the belts had fallen off our car and so we got to spend the night  somewhere in Utah!  I thought it was awesome!

So we hit the road again the next day, thanks to Mike the excellent service guy!  We finally got to Nevada and got to see Bobba and Di Di.  And then to top it off the next day I got to see Uncle Charly and Auntie Kinsey!  It was lots of fun.  Golfing, swimming and playing (oh and eating!).

When we got home I had to just pretend I was in the swimming pool! 

I did get to go to church though again and see all my friends!  Plus I had my first donut!  Yummie!  Can't wait for church again next week!

Going to help momma so some Christmas decorating now.... talk to you soon!

Winter is here!

Well winter has seemed to come and go at our home these past couple of weeks.  It snows, I get to play in it, then it's gone.  I LOVE the snow, so I am glad to tell you that I think it is here to stay now!  This morning the sun was shining through the clouds and the snowflakes were like big pieces of glitter falling from the sky, it was so pretty!

So before winter truly hit us here in Colorado, Momma and I took a little trip to see Uncle Charlie and Auntie Kinsey in LA!  Oh and Nana was there too, so it was a "double whammy", whatever that means.... I just repeat after Momma most of the time now.  I do talk a lot, I have to say!  My favorite thing to do is to say "hi!" to everyone I see.  I LOVE saying hi!  I can say Momma, Dadda, All done, Hi, Bye bye and I love to make Owl and sheep sounds.  Well, personally I think I can say a lot more, but for some reason, these are the only words that momma and daddy understand right now.  I am sure they will get better though. :)

LA was super fun!  It was warm and I got to go swimming and meet my new cousin Tank.  He was just a puppy, Momma said, but he was bigger than Emma, so I am not sure I get it but.....Either way, he was fun and made me laugh a lot!

Uncle Charlie and Auntie Kinsey asked me and Momma if we would be in their wedding next summer, which is awesome....it made momma cry a little, so I am thinking she was pretty happy.  They asked if I would be a flower girl.  "Of course!" I was thinking in my head, "I love flowers!"

I also got to ride my first horse!  And Auntie Kinsey taught me how to brush her and everything!

And then there is Tank!

Oh, Halloween was pretty fun too!  I was a mouse...but Momma broke our camera, so I don't think she has any photos..... oopsy!  Next year I guess!

Fun weekend!

Momma's friend, Cappie, came out to visit us this weekend and we had so much fun!  We have stayed super busy!  

We hiked up Hanging Lake trail yesterday!  It was steep and rocky and super fun!  I wanted to walk but momma said no.  So I just waved to everyone that we passed. :)

When we got home I played with Daddy on the deck!  It was so nice out!

After a good night sleep we headed to church this morning.  I made sure to show Cappie my ouwey from our hike the day before.

Then we spent the rest of today reading, watching some football and napping.  Life is great!

Too long!!

It has been since July 6th that I last posted!  Yikes!  I will try not to do that again..... I am going to work on posting less words and more photos and videos for you guys to follow.

Instead of going back until July, I am going to just stay in the present..... trust me, there is plenty going on to keep you entertained :)

Hope you are all living life to it's fullest!  I try to remind momma to do it everyday!

My crawling days are over...

Okay not totally, but ever since I took like two steps on my own about a week ago..... everyday I just keep walking more and more.  I mean, why wouldn't I?  Everyone else I hang out with does!

I told mom and dad, good luck keepin up with me now!

Summer Fun

The weather here has been so nice!  It makes it a lot more fun around here.  I mean, not that my house isn't fun and all, but when the sun is out I think momma likes to go more places.  Like the other day we had to take the truck to get the oil changed.  Momma says you have to do that every once in a while.  So we had a picnic while we waited.  It was fun!

I just pretty much wave at whomever is walking by these days.  I don't really care if they wave back or not.  It's kinda fun to see who does and who doesn't.  Some times if they don't see me, I will make a little squealing noise with my wave.  That usually does the trick!

Like for instance, I have no idea who this lady is.  I squealed and everything, but no wave back.  I think she was having a rough day.  Momma says everyone has rough days, we just have to be understanding.

With the nice weather and all it seems like every town around here has a fair of some sort.  We have gone to a couple, but my favorite one was the one in Edwards cause I knew a lot of kids there.  They all just hung around me in my stroller while I chilled.  It is fun being the center of attention.

I couldn't go on all the blow up jumpy things with my friends, but momma said maybe next year.  When we aren't at fairs, or out walking Emma, I like to help mom and dad around the house.  I am probably the best at unloading the dishwasher.  I am working on my laundry skills, but the clothes are SOOOO heavy when I try to move them from the washer to the dryer!  I am getting stronger everyday though, so watch out!

When we get all the laundry done, we get to go to the pool.  There are TONS of kids there.  I can't quite keep up yet, but I talk to them as momma and I swim by.  I am so excited to go swimming with my cousins next month...... fun!  Maybe they will talk back to me!  

We usually go to the pool when I am done napping for the day, so we hang out and have snack time there too.  I have been trying to learn how to use a spoon.  It is pretty messy, but super fun.  I like to try to touch mommy and daddy with my sticky hands when I am done...... they try to run away and I just laugh, cause I know I'll get 'em!

nothing like a little yogurt after a long, hard swim.  Momma was adventurous that day...... I think we were out of our other snacks, cause now we have snacks that are much easier to eat picnic style!

I love and miss you all!  Hope you have an awesome 4th of July!  Momma says it is a day to celebrate and be thankful that we live in such a country of opportunity...... hey and if momma says, then I'm right there with her!

Adventurous Soul

Momma says I am an adventurous soul.  I am not sure what that means, all I know is I just LOVE to move!  Everywhere and anywhere.  I took my first two steps yesterday and mom and dad danced around the kitchen like their pants were on fire!  Dad set me down in the middle of the dinning room and said, "okay, walk", I think it is something called sarcasm....but since I don't know how that works yet, I just looked around and took 2 steps!  Then I decided to sit down and crawl....way faster that way.  I did like to see mom and dad so excited though, so maybe I will try it again this week.

Have I told you yet that I have gotten 5 teeth in the past 5 weeks?  It's sure makes eating much easier, but man it hurts!  I think I have one more coming in right now too.  I figured, why not just get them all at once....

I know, I know, I still have no hair......no idea what's going on there.......so let's move on.

I went to Idaho last weekend to visit my grandpa for Father's Day.  It was FUN!  It was kind of cold out though so I had to put on all my warm fuzzy clothes again.  We got to go out to eat a couple times and I even had my first french fry!  I liked it...... A LOT!

I even got to go along with to whole family and play 9 holes of golf.  I left my clubs at home, so I had to just hang in the cart.  But sometimes I got out and sat on the green while every one putted.  I can't wait until I am big enough to join in the fun!

I hope you all had a great Father's Day weekend!  I do have to say though, it sure is nice being back in warm, sunny Colorado.  I think I like it here. :)

So close

I am really close to walking.....but I still like hanging on to stuff.  I am starting to figure out that I can actually go around objects instead of just straight into them.  This is me just outside the kitchen last week.  I was pretty focused on the task at hand.  I didn't even notice mama taking my video.

Hello, you've reached the Landas

Hello, hello, hello! 

You would not believe the learning streak I am on! :) I get pretty confident and then, it has yet to fail, I do something that hurts me or somebody else and then I learn some more.  Mommy says that will never change no matter how old I get. She says that everyone messes up, but that it is about apologizing, forgiving, learning and moving forward. I think I can do that.

Lately I am all about talking on the phone. I don't think mom and dad can understand me yet, but I'll keep trying. You see I hang out in my pack-n-play every morning, and sometimes in the evening too. It's only for about 30 minutes, but it is fun cause I have a little basket of toys to play with. Mom changes the toys up every once in a while to keep me guessing.  But as of late there has been this wooden rooster in the basket, hello, can you say perfect phone? I sure can! I put it up to my ear and make noises. It's not so hard, I see mommy and daddy talk into their phones everyday. Since I am all alone during playtime, I don't really have a fun photo for you.  But I do have a video of me trying to answer the phone while mommy and I were playing in the basement.

When I am not on the phone or pushing my walker around, mommy, Emma and I go for walks.  We try to go everyday, but only if the weather is nice.  The weather sure changes a lot up here though....you'll see what I mean in the pictures!

We try to mix it up..... sometimes we go in the stroller, and sometimes in the pack...... Lately it has been so nice and warm, so I get to roll in my shorts and tshirt!  I love it!

When we got back from Florida the weather wasn't as nice as it is now, so Mama and I made a house to play in.  I still like to play in it when the weather isn't so nice.

The only thing I am missing these days is hair, but I make up for that in personality!

Finally nice

It is finally nice enough out for us to eat lunch on the deck!  Yes!  It's a little bright, but I really don't like my sunglasses.  I just pull them off, so I think mom stopped trying to make me wear them.  As you can see, Emma is a pretty big fan of me.  Well, at least when I am eating.  I don't think she likes it as much when I use her to stand up.  Mommy and Daddy say she'll figure it out....I hope so, cause I love her sooo much!

For those of you that are new to Blogs....I wanted to let you know, it's okay.... I mean, come on, I am new to this whole thing too.  Mommy says that if you want to follow me all you have to do is click on the FOLLOW box in the top right corner.  Then you plug in, say, your gmail info (if that is your email address) and then you get emails sent to you when I update my blog.  How easy is that?

Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day.  Mommy and Daddy told me that we are thankful for all of the men and women who have served our country.  That is why we get to have a nice lunch outside on our deck....which I love, so thank you!  (especially Grandpa Kozie and Popi and Uncle Derek....mommy says they are the guys that help keep us safe)

Hanging with Nana

I love that my Nana lives so close.  I get to see her almost like once a week.  Last week we got to spend the day together.  So fun!  Yea, I know I have a hat on.....whatever, it snowed a little this morning...and as mom and dad say, "I'm over it!"

Hopefully the sun comes out soon....... I am ready for summer!
