Cram Session

Wow, it has been so long since I wrote to you guys, this is going to have to be a serious cram session!  I think I will leave all of our Christmas stuff until after New Years and then I will write a little more about that..... otherwise, trust me, it would be too much!

Not sure if my brother wrote or not but we have been super busy since Thanksgiving.  We got to go to my Papa's house in Nevada!  It was so nice and warm and so many people that I love were there.  As you will see, I had lots of fun!

We went swimming.....

and golfing...... although I only took 3 swings and then went running around the desert saying, "I've never seen a DESERT before!!"  Momma and Daddy didn't even know that I knew what a desert was.....

I helped Auntie Kinsey and DiDi make Momma a birthday cake.... and I got to snack on the frosting!

After our crazy fun week at Papa's, we went home for a week.....to sleep and decorate for Christmas!  We had so much fun cutting down our tree and putting all the decorations up.  I think my favorite are the Santa Bears.  Momma takes a picture of me sitting with them every year!

Then just like that, we were off to MN!  Momma and Daddy had to do some work, so mostly we got to see some of our cousins.  I love my cousins!  I don't think any of them had met Maxwell before, so they were all pretty excited.

We even got to go to this Parade of Lights.....it was spectacular!  Momma said that she used to go when she was my age.  I hope we get to go every year!

One of my other favorite days in Minnesota, was visiting Sadie and her Mama.  I got to feed horsies and see bunnies.....it was really quite fun!  I love animals......

Now we are all home for Christmas and a little bit tired.  I will need a little rest before I can begin to tell you about all of our excellent adventures this week!

Merry Christmas!

I Vote for Snow!

Well, since I can't vote for the President yet, I vote for snow!  I can do that, right?  It finally snowed here and I was SO excited, I kept asking Momma if we could go skiing yet and sledding too!  But by the time the day was over, the snow was all gone.  Daddy says it will come again soon....... what does that mean?

Daddy takes me to Mrs. Jeanette's everything Thursday.  It is so much fun.  I get to learn about the alphabet, and animals and the weather.... oh, and we get to go for hikes.  I am making new friends too.  Momma says it is good for both of us.  She says it is good for me to play with other kids and she says it is good for her because she misses me bunches by the end of the day!

This past Wednesday I had a really big day.  I know, I know it was Halloween, but that was just the end of my exciting day.  First we woke up and got to go to swimming lessons!  Then when we got home, Mr. Johnson was at our house with his excavator!  Which is super cool because we have been reading a new book, Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site and it has an excavator in it too!  Mr. Johnson is Teddy's daddy.  Teddy's daddy dug a big hole in our backyard to fix our septic system.  And when he was digging the last bit of dirt, he asked me if I wanted to do it......what?!  me?!?!  Wahoo!!!  Where do I sign up?

I was so tired that at nap time I just slept and slept and slept.  Momma said it was a good thing because then I had energy to go trick or treating for the first time.  We went over to Teagan's house and had dinner and then we all went out and ran from house to house getting candy.  I didn't really care about the candy, I just loved the sidewalks!  We don't have those where we live.  I could just fly and fly and fly while Momma held all my candy.  Oh, yea, I was a butterfly, Teagan was a unicorn and Maxwell was a bear!  Butterflies and bears can get along, right?

This morning was kind of a special day too....... we woke up and our whole family snuggled in Momma and Daddy's bed.  Daddy read me a new book, it's called, Pinkalicious! It's about a girl that eats too many Pink cupcakes and turns pink.  So right then and there, we decided that WE should make pink cupcakes today!

They were so yummie, I would have eaten them all, but Momma said 2 was enough for now.....good thing, or I might have turned pink!

Have I mentioned that I am loving my little brother more and more these days..... he's pretty cuddly (and heavy too!)

Hope you are having as much fun as me these days.......oh hey, and be careful, don't eat too many cupcakes....you might turn pink!

Fall colors

How pretty!  I love all the colors around our house....yellow and orange and red!  The animals are all over too!  The other day we stood out on our deck as a fox trotted down our driveway and almost right up to us.  He was cool looking, he looked like he had black boots on.  Anyway.... back to other things.  Life in Wolcott is good.  We stay home a little more these days, but momma says it is just a season and we will get out more and more as the days go by.

I did a little tummy time with my brother the other day, but I got bored.  He liked it though.  He loves to look at me and smile when I am around.  I think I might be his favorite person!

Max still sleeps a lot...he takes his first nap just before we have breakfast.  I told Momma, no way I did that, but she insists that I did.  Too bad he can't join us yet, cause I know he would love our cottage cheese pancakes!

Every Wednesday, I am taking swimming lessons from Miss Brook.  I LOVE it!  Plus I get to see one of my good friends Kate, right before I start.  She and her brother have lessons right before me!  It is so much fun!  I am becoming a fish!  Although sometimes I prefer to be a dolphin or a shark.

To top of all the pretty colors and fun fall is bringing I got to pumpkin picking with my favorite girl in the whole world.....Teagan!  We both took our families and we went looking for pumpkins...... before we picked out our pumpkins though, we got to do wheel-barrel races.  Our daddies ran super fast with us and we kept yelling, faster! faster!

From there we climbed up the Hay Bale Mountain.....it was fun, but I wish I had had jeans on like T.  The hay was prickly!

There was a maze too!  Can you find me?

Last but not least we picked out our pumpkins to take home........

We were super tired on the way home, but it was totally worth it....... fall has been fun so far, can't wait for Halloween!

See you all soon,
Charly Addison

Getting back to normal

Is there such a thing as normal?  I have decided, no.  However, I am learning to go with the flow..... and I am learning it is WAY more fun!  I still have my moments..... (don't we all?)

First and foremost, I am back in panties!  Yippee!  I was starting to get a rash from those diapers and man did it hurt!

I think it is easier around here too, cause Momma seems to have gotten the hang of things a little bit.  She was pretty frazzled the first couple of weeks that max showed up.  Now we are back to doing all the fun stuff we used to do..... like finger paint, play hockey, play with my baby (thanks Johnson's for the cool carrier!).....

Last Sunday I got a really bad cold, I tried to pretend I wasn't getting it.... I played and played and played.  I was the house doctor, making sure to give everyone their shots.  What?  Doctors can wear Vikings shirts......

By Sunday night I was really tired, and felt just awful.... I cried and cried and cried.  I couldn't fall asleep because I couldn't breathe!  First Daddy laid with me, then DiDi..... but I talked so much that she fell asleep so I came out to get someone else.  Papa finally came and laid with me and told me NO TALKING........ I am not sure how or why, but it worked and soon I was fast asleep.  In the morning my nose was still really stuffy, but I couldn't help but smile when I saw my birthday present!  It was a horse!!!  One I can actually ride on.  Pretty crazy!  Papa and DiDi have horses they ride, but I didn't know they were going to bring me one too! (Emma wasn't so sure about it)

Remember those moments I was telling you about?  Well, here is one that I had...... I have an hour of playtime everyday in my room.  I really enjoy it and Momma says she is very proud of me.  I play by myself and I truly love it.  I sing and read and build....... but this week I decided to crawl up and get the lotion off of the shelf.  I put as much as I could on my arms.... and finally I ran out of room, so I figured I would eat it..... Momma said it isn't for eating....beats me, I thought it tasted pretty good.

Whew, sorry, this is a long one.  I had better run....... Oh, by the way, my cold is WAY better...... but I think I gave it to Max.... oopsy!

Where do I begin?

Wow, so time has kind of gotten away from me!  I went to my Uncle's wedding in California and I had so much lined up to tell you about and then WHAMO a week later I have a little brother!!

So, what I think I will do is fill you guys in on the new little man in my life and then I am going to actually go back to California (well, not literally) and tell you all about that too.....cause seriously, that might have been one of the most fun weeks I have ever had in my life!  Really.

Without further ado, here is our growing family!

Maxwell Murphy Landa was born exactly 1 day before my 2nd birthday.  He was super small, well, he still kind of is.  I LOVE to hold him!  He gets boring quite quickly though.  I mean, he doesn't do anything but sleep and eat and poop.  Momma says some day that we will play together but I don't really see how that is possible.

Like I said, Max was born on August 6th and my birthday is August 7th.  We were supposed to have a party, but Momma seemed a little overwhelmed and ended up canceling it at the last minute.  It was okay though,  I still got an awesome cupcake with horses on it and lots of balloons!  I didn't really like birthday cake when I turned one,  so I must really have grown up since then because I love it now!!

As you can see, the frosting was my favorite part.....

I love Max very much.  I even named my baby doll Max.  I feed him (oh yea, I lift up my shirt and everything.  It always makes Momma and Daddy chuckle a little) and change his diaper and Nana and I went the other day and got him a bassinet to sleep in.  I tuck him in every night.  Momma says I am a great big sister.  Don't let these pictures fool you though.  I love Max and all, but I kind of wish sometimes he would just go away.  I used to get all of Momma and Daddy's attention, but now I have to share it with him.  Last week I decided that maybe if I stopped going pee-pee and poo poo on the toilet, that would get their attention.  It worked.  They both got frustrated at first, but then they left it up to me if I wanted to wear diapers or panties.  I told them diapers.  So I have been wearing diapers now for the last week and at first it was fun, but now they don't really care anymore and this diaper is kind of annoying.  Maybe I will go back soon.  We'll see how this week goes.  Anyway, back to the good stuff....

I am getting my 2 year molars right now and it hurts a little bit.  Max doesn't understand how it feels, but Momma says he will soon enough.  I think I am going to be a good big sister..... think of all the things I have been through that I can help Max with!!

I can't wait for you to meet him!

Love,
Charly Addison

Summer is here!

I don't know about you guys but this summer thing is pretty crazy around here.  We have sunshine everyday!  Momma and Daddy say that, while the sunshine is good, the rain is important too.  SO we have been praying for rain a lot lately.  I have been staying busy as usual.  On Father's Day, Daddy and I went fishing..... it was spectacular!  I can't wait until someday I can have a fishing pole too!

Momma and I had our river shoes on, we are ready to go!

It was a great morning until I slipped and Momma went to catch me instead of the camera...... I mean, Momma told me it was okay and that I was much more important than the camera, but I still felt bad.  Rivers and cameras must not mix, because it doesn't work anymore.  It sounds like Momma sent it somewhere to get fixed.  I hope so cause Momma's phone doesn't take nearly as good of photos.

Oh my gosh, how did I forget to tell you guys this?!?!  In preparation for my roll as big sister I officially go pee pee and poo poo on the toilet now!  The first week we were all pretty exhausted.... but now I just go and I get to have 2 WHOLE M&M's every time I go!  How cool is that?  Plus I get to wear super cool Hello Kitty underwear.?!  I tried to explain to Emma how to do it, but she still goes in the grass.  Maybe someday.

Momma and I got to ride down the river last week.  A couple of our friends have a little boat and they are river guides.  It was a bumpy ride sometimes but for the most part I loved the water splashing into the boat.....we sang Row, Row, Row your Boat a gazillon times.......I wish you could have all been with us!

We go to the Farmer's Market every Saturday and I get to pick out a special treat.  They have such good food!  Last weekend I ate a fresh tomato on the way home.....yummie!

And last, but for sure not least, this weekend was Flight Days in the town right next to us.  There were helicopters flying really close to the ground when we first got there.......they were so BIG!  And after that I got to watch a parade!  Most of the kids were chasing the candy around, but I was more amazed with all the floats and people going by.  A really nice guy on a 4 wheeler did stop and hand me this super cold popsicle....it hit the spot!  I think my two favorite things in the parade were the horsies (I LOVE horsies!) and the fire engine.

When the parade was finished we went over to the carnival and I got to see my best friend, Teagan.  Everything is better when I get to share it with her!

I miss you all and can't wait to see you.

Love,
Charly Addison
