Where have you been?

I guess I will stop telling you all that I will write more blogs and be back sooner, cause truth be told, I am just getting so busy that I forget!  SO here goes..... a little heads up, there are LOTS of pictures!

I have to go all the way back to my birthday.  It was such a fun day, I got my strawberry cake and ice cream that I asked for (well, mama just made the vanilla cake pink... I pretended I didn't notice),  my family sang to me and so I of course sang back for them too!

Max and I also had a birthday party...... I helped daddy mow the lawn to get ready

It was super fun with all our friends!

After our birthday we took a little trip to Minnesota to see our cousins and spend some time with Nana and Poppie at the lake.

I am really coming into my own these days.  I am me and I love having fun...no matter what I look like.

I am starting to make friends too and I just love when they come to visit us at our house for dinner!

And Maxwell and I really are starting to have fun together.  I mean, I still push him around a bit, every once in a while, but I still love him.  And it sure is fun having a play buddy!

This is us waiting out on the deck for daddy to come home from work.

I have more pictures from this fall, but I will save them for my next post........ whenever that may be!  Hope you had a great summer and are enjoying your fall!

Much love,

My new love.....

Maximus.  Yes, you read right..... not Maxwell, although I do love him......MAXIMUS!  He is my new love up in Idaho!  We got to fly on an airplane to Idaho a couple of weeks ago to visit my Papa and DiDi.  I was excited but little did I know how much fun it was going to be!

You see, Papa and DiDi run a ranch up in Idaho.... they have a bunch of horsies that are there to help people get better.  I'm not sure if I really understand, but I totally understand how the horsies make people feel better..... I know that if I was ever sick, Maximus is who I would want by my side!  The first day we went out the pasture to get him.  He was a little hesitant of me at first... but we soon became best friends.

I learned to brush him and put a saddle on..... and then I learned to ride!  At first we took it easy, just walking around the arena.

I started getting so comfortable riding around that I would just sing and talk.  That's when Papa decided maybe we should learn some more stuff.  Like riding with no hands!  And then trotting!!!

And finally I rode with reins, all by myself (kind of)

After our days of riding we would pick up the HUGE horsie poops and then I would relax on Maximus while I watched Papa ride in the arena.  He is really good!  He and Remi did all sorts of fancy stuff around some cones and they run SO fast!  I want to do that some day.

But just cuddling with Maximus isn't too bad either.....

Papa and I had such a great time together.....we think we are pretty funny.....

All that riding made me thirsty, so DiDi showed me how to drink like a cowgirl.....

If it was up to me, I would never leave the ranch...... I'm a cowgirl at heart.  Mama said I sure looked like a natural.  I hope I get to go back soon, cause there is no question that I am "home, home on the range"!

Much love,

time is slipping away.....

Momma and I are really getting behind on our blogs!  It is so hard now that the weather is super warm and nice out.... we never want to be inside.  Can you blame us?  Don't answer that.

I am going to bombard you with photos.... yep, bombard.  My vocabulary has just taken off.... like this weekend at the farmers market, momma was pulling me around in the wagon with all of the veggies and she turned around and asked if I was doing alright..... I told her, "I''m good, I'm just chompin down on all these green beans"  Hello, chompin?  told you, my vocabulary is fantastic.... what do you mean chompin isn't a word?  I'll have to go talk to Momma about that.  In the mean time, check out all my adventures of late!

Uncle Charlie and Auntie Kinsey came to visit.....

Uncle Charlie was a master Play Doh "er".....

and Auntie Kinsey made the coolest paper airplanes for me to throw from the loft!

They left and I was pretty sad, but Momma told me that we were very lucky that they came to visit us..... and we should be thankful for the time that we get to share with them.  She always seems to have an answer, even if I don't like it.

My sadness did not last long, as we soon after, got to take a family vacation to Florida!  Yep, airplane rides (to get there), sand, swimming and sun!  I LOVE FLORIDA!!  Really, I still talk about it ALL the time.  When Momma says we are going swimming, I always ask if we are going to go to Florida to swim....hey, it's worth a shot, right?

It rained a bunch of days while we were on our trip, but we didn't care....Maxwell and I played in the puddles.  And I rode my Strider bike EVERYDAY!

I even rode to get ice cream too......  (which was a super long way!)

Since we have been home from Florida, Momma, Maxwell and I have stayed very busy.... sometimes too busy and we get sick.  We are trying to find a balance Momma says.  She is getting better at giving me activities to do too.... I mean, I love to play and I get to do that a bunch, but it is fun to have "table time" as we call it in our house..... there is always something new and exciting.

(Oh, that's my friend Teagan.  She's the best..... we have lots of fun together)

I have really started to enjoy reading too..... I can't wait until I can actually read the words!

Well, off to dream about horsies, swimming, and riding my bike.... my favorite things right now :)  Catch you all later!

Lots of pictures!

Life is just cruisin by!  Maxwell has sure made things a lot busier around here.  I try to take the time to sit down and type, but then he grabs a toy that I JUST MUST HAVE, so I have to stop typing to go grab it from him.  If it were up to me, he wouldn't get to touch anything but his stuff.....well, and even his stuff is really mine..... so I guess, maybe he just shouldn't touch anything...... yea, that sounds good.  Can't he just go back to sitting there?  It was so much easier for me that way.... now I must be on guard!

Even with all that said, I have been having an awesome spring..... so many visitors and lots of new fun experiences.

I have been keepin things real with my spunk and pizazz......

What?!  I needed my shades cause my headlamp was so bright...... why are you laughing?  Mama and Daddy couldn't stop laughing either.  They tried to hide that they were laughing so hard, but..... it made me laugh too.

I got to spend a whole week with some of my Minnesota cousins....it was spectacular!  We went skiing, colored eggs, played, did some drawing, sledding..... you name it!

Easter morning I was  kind of sad because every-bunny (he he) had left.......

That didn't last long, because as usually around here, things picked up again quickly!  More cousins came to town!  Well, they came to Aspen and we went to visit them.....and go skiing!  Yea, I got a new helmet.  Mama decided that just because she got something for free, she shouldn't make me wear it.... this one fits SO much better.  And it's pretty cute too....

This is Mama and I, followed by Josie and McKenna...... too bad you can't tell how fast we are going in this pic!  We pretty much had the whole hill to ourselves.... it was the Steneman/Landa bunny hill!

I only took a couple of runs....and well, truth be told, this is my favorite way to hang out on the mountain.... I like to just chill.  I think it drives mama a little crazy.....someday, I am sure, I will be go, go, go and she will want to just chill.

Aren't we a good lookin bunch?  Even Maxi joined us! (I call Maxwell, Maxi....Daddy doesn't like it, but Mama thinks it's cute)

Sorry that I have been missing in action the past couple of months..... I'll work on getting my pictures out there more often.  What can I say.... I like to stay busy........

Check ya later!

Love,
Charly Addison
