I got to go skiing and see Uncle Charlie and Auntie Kinsey....and Nana and Poppie too!
I didn't get the chance to meet Santa this year, but Mama and I wrote him a great note. I told him that I had been a really good girl and that if he had room in his sled, I would like a driving truck. When I told Mama to write that down, she looked at me kind of funny.....not sure why, I mean, who wouldn't want a driving truck, right?! On Christmas Eve we left Santa out a big glass of milk and some cookies. I thought he would like Oreos best, since those are Daddy's favorite. I was right!! He only left some crumbs on the plate when I went and looked in the morning! He almost drank all the milk too!! I think that the stalking was my favorite part..... so many little things to unwrap.... like a head lamp and barrettes for my hair....
Then when we were all done, Mama and Daddy said that they saw a note under the tree for me..... I went and grabbed it and asked Daddy if he could read it for me.... it said.....
Luckily, my boots and jacket were right by the door all ready for me to go check it out......NO WAY!
It doesn't go very well in the snow....which is okay, since I don't really know how to steer yet.... hopefully by this summer...isn't Santa awesome though! He even got me a John Deere one, so I will fit in perfect here in Wolcott.
By Christmas afternoon, I wasn't feeling very good. Mama came to get me from my nap and said I was burning up..... kind of felt like it too! I spent the next 4 days on the couch and in my bed trying to get better, but nothing was working.
Even Emma's cuddles didn't help. Finally we went to the doctor and she said that I had a major ear infection! So I had to start taking this pink medicine every night before bed. It wasn't that bad really...... it just stunk that my fever stuck around for another couple of days. Luckily, my cousins were in town and they helped to make me feel better. Kale played with me and Kenna read to me.... I miss them already!
It took a while to feel like myself again, but once I did, I was up and at 'em. Playin in the snow and building a fort with Daddy......
Come on out! I'll show you my fort and everything!
Love,
Charly Addison
